Lend Lease Appoints Colin Carter to Board

Lend Lease today announced the appointment of Colin Carter to its Board of Directors, effective Monday 2 April 2012.

Mr Carter currently serves as a Non Executive Director of Wesfarmers Limited and SEEK Limited. He is also Chairman of the Geelong Football Club, and a director of World Vision Australia and The Ladder Project which is the Australian Football League Players’ project to combat youth homelessness. In 2010 he was appointed by the Australian Prime Minister to a role encouraging companies to increase Indigenous employment.

Mr Carter holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Melbourne University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, where he graduated with Distinction.

Mr Carter is one of the founding partners of The Boston Consulting Group in Australia, retiring as Senior Vice-President in 2001, and continues to work in an advisory capacity with the company. He has over 30 years of experience in management consulting advising on organisational and business strategy. His consultancy career has included major projects in Australia and overseas.

Mr Carter has wide industry knowledge on corporate governance issues and in recent years has carried out board performance reviews for a number of companies. He has co-authored a book on boards, “Back to the Drawing Board”.

Lend Lease Chairman, David Crawford welcomed Mr Carter to the Board.

“I am delighted that Colin is joining the Board. He has deep expertise in business strategy and organisational change in both Australian and offshore operations. Colin will complete the mix of skills and experience on the Board,” said Mr Crawford.
