Lend Lease appoints Rod Leaver as Global CEO of Investment Management

Lend Lease Corporation Limited (“Lend Lease”) today announced the appointment of Mr Rod Leaver as Global Chief Executive Officer of Lend Lease Investment Management.

Mr Leaver takes over the position from Steve McCann, who will focus full time on his responsibilities as Group Finance Director for the Lend Lease Group. A member of the Executive Office, Mr McCann has been working as both Group Finance Director and CEO – Investment Management since May this year, when Lend Lease established an Executive Office to reflect its globally integrated business operations.

Formerly National Director of the Property Council of Australia, Mr Leaver brings almost 30 years’ experience in the property investment and funds management industry to the role. Most recently, he was Executive Chairman of the Ronin Property Group managing total funds of A$2.4 billion. Prior to this he co-founded and worked as Chief Executive Officer of listed property investment company, James Fielding Group, and was also a co-founder and Executive Director of Paladin Australia Limited.

Commenting on the new appointment, Mr McCann said: “Rod’s depth of experience in property investment management will be a great asset in continuing to drive the growth of our funds management business.

“His strong background in international property equity raising complements the Group’s wider asset creation skill base in continuing to meet increasing investor demand for new product,” Mr McCann said.

Mr Leaver holds a Diploma in Financial Services and an Associate Diploma of Valuation. He will commence in the role in January 2008.

Lend Lease is also pleased to announce the recruitment of Mr Tony Brown as Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Management business in the UK. Formerly a fund manager with Schroder Investment Management, Mr Brown brings over 17 years’ experience to the role, including managing one of the largest and best performed balanced property unit trusts in the UK.
