ANNOUNCEMENT

PLACEMENT NOW COMPLETED

Further to Legend's ASX announcement of $8^th$ April 2005 we confirm that 20,000,000 shares at 10.77 cents, and 14,000,000 unlisted free options exercisable at 20 cents each with a 2 year expiry date, have been placed through Findlay & Co Stockbrokers with London institutional client Maple Leaf Capital for a consideration of \$2,154,000.00.

These funds will be used to support the current 3 rig drilling programmes at Gidgee and for working capital.
