APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR AND MANAGEMENT CHANGES

The board of Legend Mining Limited wishes to advise of the appointment of Mr Bob Perring to the new position of Director of Exploration and the appointment of Mr Mark Wilson (currently an Executive Director) to the position of Managing Director.

Bob has more than 25 years experience in the exploration for, and the resource definition of, gold, platinum group element, nickel, copper-lead-zinc and uranium deposits, and has worked in a broad range of geological terrains within Australia and overseas. He has recently held senior management positions with Newmont Australia Ltd (Director of Geology – Australia and New Zealand, Executive General Manager – Exploration) and Normandy Mining Ltd (Exploration Manager Western Australia and Queensland). Bob has been a Director of eight Newmont Companies. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and is a graduate of Imperial College, London and the University of Technology, Sydney.

With the advent of the above appointments Mr Dermot Ryan has reverted to a role as Non Executive Director of the company, relinquishing his role as Chief Executive Officer. The board wishes to acknowledge Dermot's tireless efforts on behalf of the Company over the past eight months and is extremely grateful to be able to retain his services and knowledge of the Company as a Non Executive Director.
