APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY

Legend Mining Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Tony Walsh in the role of Company Secretary.

Mr Walsh, who will assume the role of Company Secretary on 1 July 2006, has 19 years experience dealing with listed companies. Included in this time was 14 years at the Australian Stock Exchange ("ASX"), Perth where until recently he held the role of Assistant Manager and acted as ASX liaison with the JORC committee. Prior to his role at the ASX he worked with Ernst and Young for 5 years in an audit and compliance capacity.

In welcoming Mr Walsh's appointment, the Chairman of Legend, Mr Michael Atkins said "I see Mr Walsh's acceptance to the Company Secretarial position as an endorsement of the Company's future prospects. On behalf of the board and shareholders, I would also like to thank Mr Andrew Chapman for his contribution over the past 20 months. It has been greatly appreciated". Due to other ongoing work commitments, Mr Chapman steps down as Company Secretary effective 1 July 2006.
