Qurius reinforces management German operating company

Zaltbommel, 11 June, 2012 – Qurius has formed a team from some of its best managers in order to strengthen the management of the German operating company. The managing director of Qurius Germany, Mr Dieter Grosse-Kreul, is leaving the company. The reason is that the cooperation between Mr Grosse-Kreul – who joined Qurius mid 2011 – and Qurius did not lead to the desired results.

The past months showed a downward trend in Qurius Germany. Due to a number of reasons, a large project incurred delay in delivery, which led to deferral and partly dispute of significant payments for work that had already been delivered. Also a substantial decrease in new sales emerged in the past months. The reform process of the German operation – part of the general three year restructuring plan for Qurius that started mid 2010 – was clearly not moving in the right direction so that an intervention in the leadership became necessary.

In the coming months, a team of experienced managers and specialists from the Dutch organisation, is to sort out the German operational organisation, in line with the already initiated process. In the meantime, a new managing director will be recruited for Qurius Germany. The Qurius board remains confident in the German market where it serves with the available competences, top clients in the wholesale, retail, brewery and maritime sectors.

Qurius Germany employed year-end 2011, 154 staff members on FTE basis and realised a total revenue amounting to 22.6 million euro.
