Laurent-Perrier announces appointment of Ms Marie Cheval to Supervisory Board

Laurent-Perrier's Supervisory Board, meeting on 9 July 2013 co-opted Ms Marie Cheval as a member. She will strengthen the Board, to which she will bring her in-depth knowledge of the Champagne region and her extensive experience in finance and management.

Born in Aÿ into a family with deep roots in Champagne, Marie Cheval has always maintained strong ties with her region. She has an intimate knowledge of its array of business sectors, from cultivating vines to customer relations.

Marie Cheval, 38, attended the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA) after graduating from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).

She started out at the French Treasury's audit department, the Inspection des Finances, in 1999. In 2002, she joined the La Poste Group as a special advisor to the Chief Executive responsible for financial operations. In 2004, she was appointed Head of Financial Services Strategy at La Poste, which, in 1 January 2006, became La Banque Postale. The same year, she was appointed Head of Marketing and Sales, and then Head of Operations in 2009. She joined the Société Générale Group in July 2011 as Head of Global Transaction and Payment Services. Since 2013, Marie Cheval has been Chief Executive of Boursorama.

Her appointment is subject to approval of the July 2014 Laurent-Perrier Group General Meeting of Shareholders. The appointment follows the resignation of Mr Grant Gordon from his position on the Supervisory Board for personal reasons.
