PLACEMENT OF SHORTFALL
As announced on 24 April 2007, Montec International Limited (ASX: MTI) received valid applications for 59,762,362 of the 74,316,002 new ordinary shares with attaching options that were offered pursuant to the prospectus dated 20 March 2007 in relation to its recent renounceable rights issue.
MTI is pleased to confirm the placement of 5,786,154 new ordinary shares and an equivalent number of attaching options, being the placement of part of the shortfall from the rights issue raising a further \$289,307 before costs. No further issues will be made under the prospectus.
The total proceeds from the rights issue (including proceeds from the placement of part of the shortfall) is approximately \$3.277 million before capital raising costs.
