Launch of New UCITS Funds
Platinum Asset Management Limited ( PTM ) is pleased to announce the launch of three new Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (“ UCITS ”) funds:
-
Platinum World Portfolios - International Fund;
-
Platinum World Portfolios - Asia Fund; and
-
Platinum World Portfolios - Japan Fund
(together, the “ Funds ”).
The Funds are sub-funds of Platinum World Portfolios Public Limited Company, an umbrella fund with segregated liability between sub-funds, structured as an open-ended variable capital investment company incorporated under the laws of Ireland. The Funds have been authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland pursuant to the European Communities (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) Regulations 2011 (as amended).
Platinum Investment Management Limited (trading as Platinum Asset Management) (“ PIML ”), a whollyowned subsidiary of PTM, is the promoter, distributor and investment manager of the Funds.
Through PIML, PTM has contributed a total of US$25 million to the Funds in seed capital (International Fund – US$10 million; Asia Fund – US$10 million; and Japan Fund – US$5 million).
