Piotr Stępniak graduated from the University of Guelph, Canada, with a double major BA degree in Economics and Management. He also completed studies at ESC Rouen, France; as well as the Executive MBA and Master of Science in Management programmes at Purdue University, USA. He has extensive professional experience. Between 2001 and 2004, he served as Vice President of LUKAS Bank, responsible for retail banking. From 2005 to 2008, he was President of the Management Board of Getin Holding S.A. He currently serves as member of the Board of Directors of BFF Bank S.p.A. In this capacity, he participates in the work of the Risk and Control Committee, which provides the Board of Directors with recommendations on ESG matters, and is also a member of the Nomination Committee. He is Chair of the Supervisory Board of BFF Polska S.A., Chair of the Supervisory Board of VRG S.A., as well as member of the Supervisory Board of Grupa Kęty S.A. Since 2008, he has served as member of the Supervisory Board of KRUK S.A., chairing that body from 2013 until 27 August 2024. He has also served as member of the Audit Committee of KRUK S.A.
