Korian rolls out its growth strategy in Germany
In January 2015, Korian – Medica, market leader in the European Ageing Well sector, acquired the German regional group Evergreen Holding GmbH, following an agreement announced on 28 October 2014. From its western Germany base, the regional group operates six facilities and is developing four projects, which will in time increase its network by more than 1,100 nursing home and intermediate residence beds, generating additional revenue of more than €35 million.
On 19 December 2014, the Curanum Extraordinary General Meeting approved the company's absorption by Korian Deutschland AG, a German subsidiary of the Korian – Medica SA group. Conclusion of this operation, which began in 2013, will simplify the structures and will mark an important step in Korian – Medica's future growth on a buoyant and dynamic German market.
These operations are part of the roll out of the group's strategy and development dynamic, focused essentially on Germany. Bolstered by its leading position among nursing home and assisted living operators, the Group has great ambitions for this market and reaffirms its objective to grow its beds by over 1,000 per year from 2016, through a combination of organic growth and targeted acquisitions.

It was established in 2003 and now has almost 40,000 employees.
