Korian – Medica optimises its financing through the successful issue of a EUR 358.5m Schuldschein.
Korian – Medica, European leader in Ageing Well, finalizes the issuance of a Schuldschein (German law private placement) of EUR 358.5m, with maturities of 5, 6 and 7 years, resulting in an average maturity of 6.1 years.
The Schuldschein, of an initially planned amount of EUR 125M, has been increased to EUR 358.5m following the high level of demand. The different tranches have a fixed rate and a floating rate mix. They have been subscribed by various European and Asian institutional investors. Korian – Medica is therewith the issuer of the largest non-German transaction carried out in 2014 in this market.
This operation gives Korian - Medica the opportunity to diversify its financing sources and to strengthen its financial structure with both an increase in maturity and a beneficial impact of actual credit market conditions.
