BHEL makes India's highest-rated auto transformer

STATE-OWNED ENGINEER-ING firm BHEL on Friday said it has set a new record by successfully manufacturing and testing India's highest-rated auto transformer.

"BHEL has successfully manufactured and tested (short circuit) India's highest rating auto transformer at the National High Power Test Lab-

oratory (NHPTL) at Bina in Madhya Pradesh," it said in a statement.

This is a new benchmark in the global transformer industry, according to the statement. Short circuit test is the

most stringent, special type test for power transformers,

which is conducted to prove the adequacy for power transformers to withstand abnormal conditions of short circuit to ensure reliability during

'E-commerce sees \$8.3-bn sales in festive season'

INDIA'S E-COMMERCE festive sale season from October 15-November 15 this year delivered \$8.3 billion (about ₹58,000 crore) worth of gross sales for brands and sellers, up 65% from \$5 billion (₹35,000 crore) last year, research firm RedSeer said on Friday.

This was also higher than the pre-festive forecast of \$7 billion, RedSeer said in its report titled 'The Festival of Firsts'.

About \$3.2 billion (₹22,000 crore) worth of gross sales was registered in September this year, which zoomed to \$8.3 billion in the festive period, the report said.

Of the \$8.3 billion, $$4.2$$ billion $($ ₹29,000 crore) was logged in

director Mrigank Gutgutia said.

He added that one clear lesson from this festive season is that e-commerce has become more mainstream than ever.

"And it has proven that with the right assortment at the right prices which is delivered quickly in the safety of customer's homes, the value proposition of e-commerce is

very powerful," he said. Gutgutia emphasised that it is imperative for brands and sellers to shift their focus to online quickly and enable a seamless online experience for the customer in order to thrive in a post Covid-19 world.

मुंबई : करोना विषाणूच्या संभाव्य दुसऱ्या लाटेच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर राज्यातील टाळेबंदीचे निर्बंध आणखी महिनाभर वाढविण्याचा निर्णय शुक्रवारी राज्य सरकारने घेतला. करोना निर्बंधांचा कालावधी वाढवल्यामुळे सरत्या वर्षाला निरोप आणि नववर्षाच्या स्वागताला- ३१ रात्री होणाऱ्या डिसेंबरच्या जल्लोषावरही निर्बंध आले आहेत. त्यामुळे यंदा नववर्षाचे स्वागत घरातनच करावे लागणार आहे. त्याचप्रमाणे उपनगरीय रेल्वे प्रवासाची मुभा सर्वांना देण्याचा निर्णय तूर्तास लांबणीवर टाकण्यात आला आहे. तरण तलाव, मनोरंजन उद्याने आणखी महिनाभर बंदच ठेवण्यात

सरसकट सर्वांसाठी उपनगरीय रेल्वे सेवा डिसेंबरच्या दुसऱ्या आठवड्यात सुरू करण्याचे नियोजन होते. परंतु मुंबई, ठाण्यातील वाढते रुग्ण लक्षात घेता बहुधा नवीन वर्षातच सर्वांना रेल्वेसेवेची मुभा मिळण्याची शक्यता आहे.

करोना बाधितांची वाढती संख्या लक्षात घेऊन राजकीय. सामाजिक.

क्रीडा, सांस्कृतिक, धार्मिक, मनोरंजनात्मक कार्यक्रम सोहळ्यावरील बंदी कायम ठेवण्यात आली आहे. उपनगरीय रेल्वे सर्वांसाठी खुली करण्याचा निर्णयही आणखी काही दिवसांसाठी लांबणीवर टाकण्यात आला असून येत्या १५ दिवसांत करोना बाधितांची संख्या पाहून पुढील निर्णय घेण्यात येणार आहे. शाळा, महाविद्यालये तसेच शैक्षणिक आणि प्रशिक्षण संस्था बंदच राहणार आहेत. इयत्ता ९वी ते १२वीचे वर्गही सुरू ठेवण्याबाबतचा

येणार आहेत.

निर्णय स्थानिक प्रशासनावर सोपविण्यात आला आहे. राज्यात सध्या उपाहारगृहे, चित्रपटगृहे, नाट्यगृहे, कार्यालये ५० टक्के क्षमतेने सुरू असून ती तशीच सुरू ठेवण्यात

मुंबईत करोनामुक्त होण्याचे प्रमाण ९१ टक्के लोकसत्ता प्रतिनिधी

मुंबई : मुंबईतील करोनाबाधितांच्या संख्येत वाढ होत असल्यामुळे पालिका चिंतित झाली आहे. मात्र त्याच वेळी करोनामुक्त होण्याचे प्रमाण ९१ टक्क्यांवर स्थिरावले आहे. सलग तिसऱ्या दिवशी शुक्रवारी नवे रुग्ण एक हजारांपेक्षा जास्त १०७४ असून -१७ रुग्णांचा मृत्यू झाला.

मुंबईतील एकुण रुग्णसंख्या दोन लाख ८० हजार ८११ वर पोहोचली आहे. मात्र मृत्यू होण्याचे प्रमाण घसरले आहे. आतापर्यंत मुंबईत १० हजार ७५६ जणांचे मृत्यू झाले आहेत. करोनामुक्तांची संख्या दोन लाख ५४ हजार ४४६ वर पोहोचली आहे. मंबईतील विविध रुग्णालयांमध्ये १२ हजार ५८८ रुग्ण उपचार घेत आहेत. शक्रवारी दिवसभरात तब्बल १७ हजार ९७३ चाचण्या करण्यात आल्या. रुग्ण दुप्पटीचा काळ १९५ दिवसांवर घसरला आहे.

७६५ नवे रुग्ण

ठाणे जिल्ह्यात शुक्रवारी ७६,५ नव्या बाधितांची नोंद करण्यात आली आहे त्यामुळे जिल्ह्यात एकूण रुगणांची संख्या २ लाख २७ हजार ४१ इतकी झाली आहे. तर, दिवसभरात १२ जणांचा करोनामुळे मृत्यू झाला आहे. नव्या रुग्णांमध्ये कल्याण-डोंबिवली २०७, ठाणे शहरातील १८७, नवी मुंबई १४६, मीरा-भाईंदर ६२, ठाणे ग्रामीणमधील ५७, उल्हासनगर ४२, बढ्लापूरमधील ३२, मिवंडीतील २१ आणि अंबरनाथमधील ११ रुग्णांचा सामावेश आहे.

देशात ९३ लाख तर राज्यात १८ लाखांवर रूग्ण गेल्या २४ तासांत ढेशभरात ४३०८२ लोकांना करोनाचा संसर्ग झाल्यामुळे, ढेशातील करोनाबांधितांची संख्या शुक्रवारी ९३ लाखांपलीकडे गेली आहे. बाधितांची एकूण संख्या शुक्रवारी ९३,०९,७८७ इतकी झाली. याचवेळी, ८७,१८,५१७ लोक संसर्गातून बरे झाले असून हे प्रमाण ९३.६४ टक्के आहे. आतापर्यंत राज्यात १८ लाखांपेक्षा बाधित झाले असून, ४६,८९८ जणांचा मृत्यू झाला. तर गेल्या २४ तासांत राज्यात ६,१८५ नवीन रुग्णांचे निढान झाले. ढिवसभरात नाशिक जिल्हा ३६१, पुणे शहर ४०६, पिंपरी-चिंचवड २२९, उर्वरित पुणे जिल्हा २६२, नागपूर

হাहर ३८० नवीन रुग्ण आढळले.

निर्णय शासनाने जाहीर केल्यानंतर

आता प्रवेश परीक्षांचे निकाल जाहीर

करणे आणि प्रवेश प्रक्रियेने वेग

घेतला आहे. उच्च शिक्षण विभागाच्या

अंतर्गत असलेल्या आठ परीक्षांपैकी

सहा परीक्षांचे निकाल कक्षाने जाहीर

केले. वास्तूकला पदव्युत्तर, हॉटेल

मॅनेजमेंट पदवी आणि पदव्युत्तर,

शिक्षणशास्त्र पदवी आणि पदव्युत्तर,

शारीरिक शिक्षणशास्त्र, पाच वर्षांचा

विधि अभ्यासक्र म, एमसीए या

प्रवेश परीक्षांचे निकाल जाहीर

: विविध व्यावसायिक मंबड़े अभ्यासक्रमांच्या प्रवेशासाठी घेण्यात आलेल्या परीक्षांपैकी १० परीक्षांचे निकाल प्रवेश नियमन कक्षाने जाहीर केले. या शक्रवारी अभ्यासक्रमांची प्रवेश प्रक्रियाही लवकरच सुरू करण्यात येणार असल्याचे कक्षाने स्पष्ट केले आहे.

बाधित रुग्णांचे प्रमाण १० टक्क्यांपेक्षा

कमी आहे. आतापर्यंत १८ लाख ३६

हजार चाचण्या करण्यात आल्या

दप्तराचे ओझे कमी

विद्यार्थ्यांच्या वजनाच्या केवळ दहा टक्केच भार, केंद्राचे धोरण जाहीर

मुंबई : अर्ध्याहून अधिक शैक्षणिक वर्ष ऑनलाइन वर्गांमुळे विद्यार्थ्यांची दप्तराच्या ओझ्यातून सुटका झाली आहे. आता पुढील शैक्षणिक वर्षातही विद्यार्थ्यांचे दप्तराचे वजन कमी करण्यासाठी केंद्राने धोरण आखले आहे. विद्यार्थ्यांच्या वजनाच्या दहा टक्क्यांपेक्षा अधिक दप्तराचे वजन असू नये असे मसुद्यात नमूद केले आहे. त्याचबरोबर विद्यार्थ्यांना देण्यात येणाऱ्या गृहपाठाचा भारही या धोरणाने मी केला आहे.

प्राथमिक शिक्षण

■ पहिली आणि दुसरीसाठी एक १७ ते २५ 9.6 ते २.५

विद्यार्थ्यांच्या पाठीवरील दप्तराच्या वजनाचा विषय सातत्याने चर्चेत असतो. वह्या, पुस्तके, डबा पाण्याची बाटली. प्रकल्प अभ्यासपूरक साहित्य, खेळासाठी स्वतंत्र गणवेश अशा अनेक गोष्टींनी भरलेले दप्तर विद्यार्थ्यांच्या पाठीवर लादले गेले आहे. दप्तराचे वजन कमी करण्याबाबत न्यायालयातही याचिका दाखल आहेत. या पार्श्वभूमीवर केंद्रशासनाने धोरण तयार करण्यासाठी २०१८ मध्ये तज्ज्ञांची समिती नेमली होती. या समितीने दिलेला अहवाल केंद्रीय शिक्षण विभागाने मंजूर केला आहे. या अंमलजबावणी धोरणाप्रमाणे करण्याचे आदेश राज्यांना दिले आहेत.

सहावी, सातवी	२० ते ३०	२ ते ३
आठवी	२५ ते ४०	२ ते ५.४
नववी, ढहावी	२७ ते ४७	२.५ते ४
अकरावी, बारावी	३७ ते ५०	३ते ५.५

विद्यार्थ्यांचे आणि दप्तराचे वजन किलोग्रॅममध्ये आहे.

चाके असलेली दप्तरे नको गृहपाटही घटणार

अनेकदा विद्यार्थ्यांच्या दप्तराचे ढूसरी पर्यंतच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना दरदिवशी मूळ वजनच अधिक असते. त्यात ढ़ोन तास आणि त्यापुढील विद्यार्थ्यांना दरदिवशी दोन ते पाच तासांपर्यंत साहित्य भरल्यावर ते अधिकच गृहपाठ शाळा देतात असे विद्यार्थी वाढत जाते. त्यामुळे कमी वजनाचे आणि पालकांच्या सर्वेक्षणातन समोर कापड किंवा साहित्य वापरून आले. त्या अनुषंगाने कोणत्या तयार केलेली ढप्तरेच विद्यार्थ्यांना द्यावीत. दोन्ही खांद्यावर लावता इयत्तेसाठी किती गृहपाठ द्यावा याचेही येतील अशी आणि मऊ पट्टे कोष्टक केंद्राच्या धोरणात देण्यात आले आहे. त्यानुसार पूर्वप्राथमिक ते असेलली ढ़प्तरे असावीत. दुसरीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना गृहपाठ देण्यात त्याचप्रमाणे पाठीवर ढप्तराचे येऊ नये. तिसरी ते पाचवीच्या वजन नको म्हणून चाके असलेली द्धतरे वापरण्याकडे पालक आणि विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी आठवड्याला २ विद्यार्थ्यांचा अधिक कल आहे. मात्र तासांपर्यंत, सहावी ते आठवीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी ५ ते ६ तास ही चाके असलेल्या दप्तरांचे वजन अधिक असते. त्यामुळे अशी आठवड्याला आणि नववी ते दप्तरे वापरण्यात येऊ नयेत, अशी बारावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना आठवड्याला सूचना देण्यता आली आहे. ९० ते १२ तासांचा गृहपाठ असावा.

एक गृहपाठाची अशा दोन वह्या असाव्यात.

वही तर तिसरी ते पाचवीसाठी

एक वर्गातील अभ्यासाची आणि

• । सहावीपासून पुढील वर्गातील विद्यार्थ्यांना सुट्टे कागढ़ आणण्याची परवानगी द्यावी.
• ा कागढ़ संकलित करून ते टाचून (फायलिंग) कसे ठेवावे हे विद्यार्थ्यांना शिकवण्यात यावे. ञाळांनी माध्यान्ह भोजन आणि स्वच्छ पिण्याच्या पाण्याची सूविधा उपलब्ध करून द्यावी.
• । अधिक वह्या, पुस्तके आणावी लागणार नाहीत असे वेळापत्रक असावे.
• ∎ पाठ्यपूस्तके एकत्रित वापरण्याची किंवा एकमेकांत ढेवाणघेवाण करण्याची मुभा विद्यार्थ्यांना द्यावी त्याचबरोबर प्रत्येक पाठ्यपुस्तकावर त्याचे वजनही छापण्यात यावे. ते वजन लक्षात घेऊन शाळांनी वेळापत्रक निश्चित करावे.
• ि शिक्षकांनी वारंवार विद्यार्थ्यांचे दप्तर तपासावे.

मुंबईत सध्या ११,६९७ रुग्ण उपचाराधीन असुन त्यापैकी ८,०७२ रुग्णांना कोणतीही लक्षणे नाहीत. तर लक्षणे असलेल्या २,८८४ रुग्णांपैकी केवळ ७४१ रुग्ण गंभीर आहेत. दिवाळीनंतर पालिकेने प्रति दिन १४ ते १५ हजारांवर असलेली चाचण्यांची संख्या वाढवन १८ ते १९ हजारांपर्यंत नेली आहे. बुधवारपासून परराज्यातून

वाढवूनही तुलनेने बाधितांचे प्रमाण

१० टक्क्यांपेक्षा कमी आहे. तसेच

खाटांपैकी ८८४० खाटा रिक्त आहेत अतिदक्षता विभागाच्या १९२६ खाटापैकी ७८६ खाटा रिक्त आहेत अतिसंक्रमित क्षेत्र असलेल्या वरळी आलेल्या प्रवाशांच्या चाचण्या रेल्वे प्रभादेवीत या आठवड्यात एकही प्रतिबंधित क्षेत्र नाही. स्थानकावर केल्या जात आहेत.

मृत्युदरातही घट

दिवाळीनंतर करोनाबाधितांच्या संख्येत पुन्हा वाढ होत असल्याचे दिसून येत आहे. असे असले तरी आठवड्याचा मृत्युढर अडीच टक्क्यांवरून ढोन टक्क्यापर्यंत खाली आला आहे.

दिवाळीमूळे लोकांचा बाजारपेठेतील वावर वाढला होता. सार्वजनिक वाहतूक व्यवस्था खुल्या झाल्याने शहरात बाहेरून येणाऱ्यांची ये-जा देखील वाढली. परिणामी शहरातील दरदिवशीच्या रुग्णांची संख्या पाचशेवरून पुन्हा एकदा हजाराच्या घरात पोहोचली आहे. बुधवारी आणि गुरुवारी अनुक्रमे शहरात 9998 आणि 9986 नव्या रुग्णांचे निदान झाले आहे. शहरात सध्या सर्वाधिक रुग्ण हे बोरिवली (आर मध्य), कांदिवली (आर दक्षिण), भांडूप (एस), मुलुंड(टी), ग्रॅण्टरोड (डी), अंधेरी (के परिचम) या विभागात आहेत ऑक्टोबरमध्ये दर आठवड्याच मृत्युदर हा जवळपास तीन ते चार टक्क्यांदरम्यान होता.नोव्हेंबरच्या तिसऱ्या आठवड्यात तर दोन टक्क्यापर्यंत (१.९७ टक्के) खाली घसरला आहे.
