KBA, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of printing presses, is broadening its activities at the beginning of next year with a majority stake in Metronic, a locally based manufacturer of inkjet, hot stamping, laser and thermal transfer ID devices for industrial applications plus UV offset printing systems for CDs, DVDs and plastic cards. Metronic’s product range is a neat fit with KBA’s, which embraces sheetfed and web offset, rotogravure, newspaper printing and various niche markets.
