BOARD CHANGE

Kingfisher plc ('Kingfisher') today announces the appointment of Sophie Gasperment as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 December 2018.

Sophie has held a number of key senior leadership positions at L'Oréal, including Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Body Shop International, and Managing Director of L'Oréal UK & Ireland.

Sophie has served as a Non-Executive Director of AccorHotels since 2010, where she chairs the Remunerations, Nominations and CSR committee, and is the Lead Independent Director at the Board of Cimpress N.V. Sophie was appointed French Foreign Trade Advisor in 2005 and elected to the UK Executive Board.

Commenting on the appointment, Andy Cosslett, Chairman of Kingfisher, said:

"I am delighted to welcome Sophie to the Kingfisher Board. Her range of skills and experience will be of great benefit to Kingfisher and we are looking forward to working with her."

There are no further matters to be disclosed in respect of her appointment under Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
