King River Copper Limited (ASX: KRC) is pleased to provide this update on activities underway on the Speewah Copper-Gold Project.

Commencement of drilling

The Board of King River Copper wish to advise that the Phase 1 RC drilling of ~2,350 metres will commence on the Speewah Dome the weekend of July 1, 2017.

During the preceding month hand held ground magnetic surveys and reconnaissance have been undertaken along the Barton's Trend structure, interpreted to be the primary conduit for copper-gold-silver mineralisation in the northern part of the Speewah Dome. This early work has infilled some large gaps in the data obtained in the 2016 season. The quality of data obtained from these surveys has been excellent and numerous features have been identified that warrant follow up shallow RC drill testing as soon as access has been established.

Mr. Rogers is the Chief Geologist and an employee of the Company and a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists. Mr. Rogers has sufficient experience of relevance to the styles of mineralisation and the types of deposits under consideration, and to the activities undertaken, to qualify as a Competent Person as defined in the 2012 Edition of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves.
