APPLICATION FOR BLOCK LISTING

Kier Group plc (the "Company") announces that an application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the admission of 200,000 ordinary shares of 1p each to the premium listing segment of the Official List and to trading on London Stock Exchange plc's main market for listed securities.

These shares will be issued and allotted pursuant to the Kier Group plc 2006 Sharesave Scheme.  These shares will, upon issue, rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares of the Company.
