APPLICATION FOR BLOCK LISTING

Kier Group plc (the "Company") announces that an application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to London Stock Exchange plc for a block listing of 200,000 ordinary shares of 1p, to trade on London Stock Exchange plc's main market for listed securities, pursuant to the Kier Group plc 2006 Sharesave Scheme.  These shares will, upon issue, rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares of the Company.
