BOARD CHANGES

Kier Group plc ("Kier") announces that, with immediate effect, Justin Atkinson has been appointed as its Senior Independent Director.

Justin was appointed to the board of directors of Kier (the "Board") with effect from 1 October 2015, having previously been Chief Executive of Keller Group plc from May 2004 to April 2015 and, prior to that, its Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer.

Commenting on the appointment, Phil White, Kier's Chairman, said: "On behalf of the Board, I would like to congratulate Justin on his appointment. Justin's skills and experience have enabled him to make a positive contribution to the Board since joining Kier and I very much look forward to working with him in his new role."
