Release according to section 26, para. 1 of the WpHG [the German Securities
Trading Act]

1. With letter dated May 15, 2013, received on May 21, 2013, AVIC
   International Shenzhen Company Limited, Shenzhen, China, has notified
   us pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG, that its percentage of voting
   rights in KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG, Cologne, Germany, (the
   'Company'), reached and exceeded the thresholds of 3%, 5%, 10%, 15% and
   20% on September 5, 2012 pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG and amounted
   to 20.0% of the voting rights (9,940,715 shares with voting rights), as
   per this date.

Of these voting rights, a total of 20.0% (9,940,715 voting rights) are to
be attributed to it pursuant to section 22 (1) no. 1 WpHG via following
companies, whose percentage of voting rights in KHD Humboldt Wedag
International AG amounts to 3% or more:
- AVIC International Holdings Limited, Shenzhen, China

• AVIC International Beijing Co., Ltd. (previously named CATIC Beijing
  Co. Ltd.), Beijing, China

• AVIC International Kairong Limited, Beijing, China

• Kaihang Industrial Limited, Hong Kong, China

• Max Glory Industries Limited, Hong Kong, China

• With letter dated May 15, 2013, received on May 21, 2013, AVIC
  International Holdings Limited, Shenzhen, China, has notified us
  pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG, that its percentage of voting rights
  in KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG, Cologne, Germany, (the
  'Company'), reached and exceeded the thresholds of 3%, 5%, 10%, 15% and
  20% on September 5, 2012 pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG and amounted
  to 20.0% of the voting rights (9,940,715 shares with voting rights), as
  per this date.

Of these voting rights, a total of 20.0% (9,940,715 voting rights) are to
be attributed to it pursuant to section 22 (1) no. 1 WpHG via following
companies, whose percentage of voting rights in KHD Humboldt Wedag
International AG amounts to 3% or more:

The holding of 20% of Max Glory Industries Limited, Hong Kong, China in KHD
Humboldt Wedag International AG, Cologne, Germany, has not been changed
since the last notification. This notification describes only the
reorganization of the group structure of AVIC.
