Release according to section 26, para. 1 of the WpHG [the German Securities
Trading Act]

With letter dated October 15, 2013, the Desmarais Family Residuary Trust,
Montreal, Canada has notified us pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG, that its
percentage of voting rights in KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG,
Colonia-Allee 3, Cologne, Germany, (the 'Company'), reached and exceeded
the thresholds of 3% on October 9, 2013 and amounted to 3.15% of the voting
rights (1,563,301 shares with voting rights), as per this date.

All these voting rights are to be attributed to it pursuant to section 22
para.1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG through:
