APPOINTMENT OF NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Kentor Gold Limited ("Kentor") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Simon Milroy as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, which appointment is to take effect as from Monday 14 May 2007.

Simon Milroy 40, is a Mining Engineer who most recently spent nearly 4 years as General Manager - Project Development and Manager Technical Services for Pan Australian Resources Limited in Laos. In those roles he was responsible for scoping and feasibility studies, evaluations of projects and companies, ore reserves and technical support of the companies operations. During that period key achievements were managing the feasibility studies and environmental and social impact assessments for the Phu Bia gold mine and the Phu Kham copper-gold mine.

Earlier in his career, Simon held senior management roles with Padaeng Zinc and Kingsgate Consolidated, both in Thailand, following on from a range of technical and supervisory positions at various base metal and gold mines throughout Australia.

Simon has a Bachelor of Engineering - Mining Engineering from the University of South Australia, holds a First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency for Queensland and Victoria and is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy.

Mr John Barr, Chairman of Kentor Gold Limited, noted that "the appointment of Simon to spearhead the growth and diversification of Kentor's portfolio of exploration projects is another very important step for the Company. Simon is very well equipped to ensure that Kentor quickly advances its new geothermal licence areas in Kyrgyzstan and its uranium application areas in the Dunmarra Basin of the Northern Territory, as well as progressing the Company's flagship Akbel gold project and seeking more advanced projects in Central Asia. The appointment of Simon and Kentor's new projects in particular, herald the revitalization of the Company."
