Riikka Joukio appointed Kesko's Executive Vice President in charge of Corporate Responsibility and Public Affairs, and a member of the Group Management Board

Riikka Joukio, M.Sc. (Tech.), eMBA, has been appointed Executive Vice President in charge of corporate responsibility and public affairs, and a member of Kesko's Group Management Board. Joukio will join Kesko on 1 August 2021 at the latest.

Joukio has extensive international experience and a strong track record in corporate responsibility and sustainability work and public affairs as well as in collaboration with consumer goods companies," says Mikko Helander, Kesko's President and CEO.

Riikka Joukio currently acts as SVP, Climate and Circular Economy at Metsä Group, and has previously held many positions of profit responsibility and specialist leadership at various Metsä Group business operations.

Kesko's corporate responsibility and sustainability work has received international recognition. Kesko has ranked as the most sustainable grocery trade company in the world for six consecutive years on the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World list announced annually at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Kesko has also been included on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index the DJSI World for 16 years.
