appointment);
Mr. Ganesh Kumar Dwivedy is a highly qualified professional with a
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (B.E.) and a Master’s
degree in Advanced Electronics & Communication (M.E.) and brings
with him over 36 years of rich and diverse experience spanning across
General Management, Operations and Safety Management, and
Signaling & Telecommunication System Management. His expertise
includes Program and Project Management, with hands-on experience
in project planning, design, procurement, execution, testing &
commissioning, as well as safety assessment, statutory inspections and
sanctions. He is an avid system and team builder and has demonstrated
leadership in human resource development and management,
specifically within the electronics, technology, and safety domains.
Mr. Dwivedy 36 years journey in railway signalling and safety began
with on-ground engineering roles and evolved into leadership positions
across Indian Railways and international railway systems with the most
recent as the Principal Chief Signal & Telecommunication Engineer
(PCSTE), South Central Railway, Secunderabad. Over the years, he had
held the critical responsibilities across South Central, Eastern, South
Eastern, South Western and North Eastern zones of Indian Railways and
pioneering role in implementation of TPWS+, Computer Based
Interlocking over Network Rail, UK and High Speed Rail signalling in
Taiwan.
His focus throughout the career has always been clear: deliver rail
automation and safety systems with precision and compliance. At
South Central Railway, he led the ₹1900 Cr rollout of Automatic Block
Signalling across 1600 RKms, with a record 313 RKms commissioned in
just one year. He also oversaw the first successful deployment of the
indigenous KAVACH ATP system across 1200 RKms, troubleshooting
reliability gaps to authorisingthe commercial use after statutory safety
inspections.
What sets his approach apart is a balance of field-tested technical
judgement, policy-level insight, and a systems mindset. He had
authored and presented 5 papers in international conferences hosted
by IRSE, London,more than 25 technical and policy circularsin the field
of railway signalling, introduced precast building infrastructure for
signallinginstallations to cut construction time by80%,and helped

revival of Mettuguda Signal Workshop by doubling the turnover. His work aligns with international standards like EN50126/28/29 and has been cited as a reference across other zones.

Equally important to him is people and he had taken initiatives to train railway engineers in Functional Safety, modernize SCR Zonal Training Center, hosting weekly webinars on railway signalling and telecom systems, directly reaching over 20,000 technicians, engineers, and officers; ensuring that the next generation builds not just capability but confidence. His deep domain knowledge, leadership capability, and track record of managing complex, safety-critical infrastructure projects make him an ideal candidate to lead the company during this important growth phase.
