On November 7, 2014, Edward J. Konar, Vice President and Life & Health Group Executive of Kemper Corporation (the "Company"), announced his decision to retire from the Company, effective November 14, 2014. In connection with Mr. Konar's decision, the Company made the decision to eliminate the Life & Health Group Executive position.
