CPH: Traffic grew again

Passenger numbers at Copenhagen Airport grew by 2.2% in April. This was partly
due to a growing number of passengers on the Copenhagen - Berlin route. This
year, the number of Danish and German passengers on the route has grown by
14.6%.

The total number of passengers passing through the terminals of Copenhagen
Airport in April was 1,962,190, representing a 2.2% increase. The year-to-date
increase was 0.1%.

"After a first quarter with a minor fall in passenger numbers, the 2.2%
increase in April has brought Copenhagen Airport back on the growth track, with
international traffic continuing to be the main growth driver," said CEO Thomas
Woldbye.

International traffic, the biggest growth driver, grew by 2.8% in April, and by
1.9% in the first four months of the year. One of the fastest growing routes is
Copenhagen-Berlin.

"We can see that Danish and German passengers are very fond of the route
between Copenhagen and Berlin. This has made the capital of Germany number
eight on our Top 10 list of destinations. The growth rate in passenger numbers
to and from Berlin was an impressive 14.6% in the first four months of the
year," said Thomas Woldbye.

There are 62 weekly flights from Copenhagen to Berlin. The biggest airline on
the route is Air Berlin, followed by SAS, easyJet and Norwegian. This year,
170,036 passengers have so far travelled on the route: about a third of them
Germans travelling to Copenhagen.

The biggest destination at Copenhagen Airport is still London, reaching 519,107
passengers in the first four months of 2013.
