The Board of JPMorgan US Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc (the 'Company'), as part of its succession planning, is pleased to announce its intention to appoint Ms Mandy Donald as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect (4th January 2022).

Ms Donald is an experienced non-executive director and audit committee chair in a portfolio of roles. She is currently a non-executive director and audit & risk committee chair of Liontrust Asset management plc, a non-executive director of Gowling WLG LLP and a non-executive director and audit committee chair of Punter Southall Group.

Ms Donald qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young LLP and has extensive experience in strategy, governance, finance, audit and risk management. She is also a strong advocate of Corporate Governance and has completed the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma.

There is no further information to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Ms Mandy Donald.
