JPMORGAN MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

As part of its succession planning and in anticipation of the retirement of the Audit Committee Chairman, Mrs. Margaret Littlejohns, later in the year, the Board of JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Margaret Payn as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1st March 2019.

Ms. Payn has extensive experience across the financial sector having commenced her career at KPMG. She has worked for several organisations to include nine years at Schroders (latterly as CFO/COO of the Asian business based in Hong Kong) and three years at ANZ in similar roles. Most recently she was at AMP Capital Group where she held the positions of CFO/COO within the asset management division and was responsible for leading the firm's finance function and contributing to the strategic direction and financial performance of the company. She also led the firm's group support functions and operations. She retired from this position in May 2018. She was also a director of McPhersons Consumer Products Limited, a public listed company in Australia from 2015 to 2018.

Ms. Payn is a Chartered Accountant. She received a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in French with Pure Mathematics from University College London.
