2021 Annual General Meeting – Chairman’s Address
Janison Education Group Limited (ASX:JAN) (“ Janison ” or the “ Company ”), is pleased to release its Chairman’s Address which will be delivered at the AGM today at 12pm, Friday 29[th] October 2021.
Good afternoon and welcome to the Janison Education Group Limited Annual General Meeting held virtually, via video conference.
Joining me on the call today are our non-executive directors Wayne Houlden, Allison Doorbar and Brett Chenoweth, as well as David Caspari – CEO and Managing Director, Stuart Halls - Chief Financial Officer, and the Company’s auditors – Stantons International.
The 2021 financial year was Janison’s fourth year of being listed on the ASX and another highly successful year, full of many achievements. It was also a year of dramatic and permanent transformation within the education market globally with teachers forced to adopt digital forms of learning and assessment as a result of the pandemic and school closures around the world.
Janison, with its advanced assessment platform and world-class products such as ICAS and PBTS, was well placed to support educators throughout this change - helping schools and teachers maintain continuity, identify students most affected by the pandemic, and support them in designing interventions to help those students. In being there for schools, Janison has grown substantially over the past year and benefited financially, which underpins this year’s strong results and sets a foundation for many years to come.
During the year we conducted our annual review of the board’s composition and in doing so we saw David Willington step off the board as a non-executive director, and in his place we welcomed David Caspari as Managing Director. On behalf of the board, I would like to reiterate our sincere thanks to David Willington for his valuable contribution during his tenure as director. Similarly, we are very pleased that David Caspari has accepted a position on the board. Since joining in 2020, David has been instrumental in the growth and success of Janison and we look forward to having him as a member of the board.
Our board review process is continuing and we hope to have an update to the market with further developments in the near future.

On behalf of the board, we are all very pleased with how the business has navigated the difficulties of 2021 – finishing the year even stronger than it started in many aspects, but we are equally excited and confident about what the business will deliver in the years ahead.
For this, the board would like to thank all employees, shareholders, suppliers and valued customers of Janison for their support in FY21 and their ongoing endorsement as Janison continues to evolve and scale in the future.
After the formal business of the meeting as set out in the Notice, I will hand over to David Caspari and Stuart Halls to present a trading update for first half FY22.
This release has been approved by the board.
