James Halstead plc ("James Halstead" or the "Company")

Directors exercise of share options and sale of shares

The Company announces that 300,000 new ordinary James Halstead shares of 5p each ("Ordinary Shares") have been issued pursuant to the exercise of share options on 28 October 2013.

Mark Halstead and Gordon Oliver, both Directors of the Company, each exercised options over 150,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 144.7125 pence per share. On the same day, Mr Halstead and Mr Oliver notified the Company that they had sold these shares at a price of 297 pence per share.

Following the exercise of these options Mark Halstead now holds options over 90,000 Ordinary Shares and Gordon Oliver now holds options over 90,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company.
