Die am Neuen Markt notierte IVU Traffic Technologies AG (WKN 744 850) und die FAUN Novatec GmbH haben Ende Dezember gemeinsam ein Tochterunternehmen gegründet: die FIT GmbH mit Sitz in Iserlohn. Damit bündeln der eLogistics-Experte IVU und FAUN, Europas größter Aufbautenhersteller für Spezial-Lkw, ihre Kräfte für den europaweiten Vertrieb wegweisender IT-gestützter Lösungen für die Entsorgungsbranche. Das auf die IVU entfallende Auftragsvolumen beträgt bis Ende 2001 DM 1,8 Mio. Von Mitte des Jahres an werden weitere Umsätze aus dem neuen Provider-Dienst erwartet. Die FIT GmbH wird sich auf dem Entsorgungsmarkt als Serviceprovider auf den Vertrieb und Betrieb umfassender IT-Systemleistungen via Internet konzentrieren. Dazu zählen die Bereitstellung von Software-Komponenten zur Abwicklung des Tagesgeschäftes und Optimierung des Fuhrparkeinsatzes, die Lieferung des Hardware-Equipments (z.B. Bordcomputer) sowie die Schaffung eines eigenen Internet-Portals und das EDV-Hosting: Fahrzeuge und Software bilden über ein Web-Portal ein integriertes System. Durch das gebündelte Branchen-Know-how können die IVU und FAUN im Hard- und Softwarebereich neue Marktpotenziale in Europa erschließen. Bereits erfolgreich am Markt eingeführte Produkte beider Firmen werden als Komplettlösung für das Abfallmanagement in der Entsorgungswirtschaft angeboten und gemeinsam weiter entwickelt. Neuer Markt-listed IVU Traffic Technologies AG (WKN 744 850) and FAUN Novatec GmbH announced the formation of a joint subsidiary, FIT GmbH in Iserlohn, at the end of December. IVU, the e- logistics expert, and FAUN, Europe’s largest manufacturer of structures for special-purpose trucks, are joining forces to sell innovative IT-driven solutions for the waste disposal industry across Europe. IVU’s share of the order volume will amount to DM 1.8 million by the end of 2001. Further sales from this new provider service are expected from mid-year. FIT GmbH will act as a services provider on the waste disposal market, focusing on the sale and operation of comprehensive IT systems via the Internet. Its activities will include the provision of software components for handling day-to-day business and optimizing vehicle fleet use, the supply of hardware (e.g. on-board computers) as well as the creation of its own Web portal and IT hosting, with vehicles and software forming an integrated system via a Web portal. The combined industry expertise of IVU and FAUN will enable the two companies to develop new market potential for hardware and software in Europe. Products of the two companies that have already been successfully launched on the market will be offered as a total solution for waste management in the waste disposal industry, and will be jointly developed further.
