Approval of sale of UTV Ireland

On 11th July 2016, ITV plc announced that it had agreed to sell UTV Ireland to Virgin Media Limited.  This was subject to regulatory and competition approval.

Virgin Media Limited today announced that it has received regulatory and competition approval. Completion is expected to take place on 30th November 2016.

As part of the deal, Virgin Media will enter into a 10-year programme supply agreement with ITV Global Entertainment.
