Completion of INET BFA Transaction

IRESS (IRE.ASX) announced on 14 September 2016 that it had entered into an agreement to acquire INET BFA (INET), a leading provider of African market data, analysis tools and financial data feeds.

The acquisition of INET formally completed on Thursday 10 November, local South African time.

As anticipated in the original announcement, 109 INET people will join IRESS. Together with existing operations, this will create an IRESS team of 262 in South Africa.

IRESS’ CEO, Andrew Walsh said: “We welcome the INET team. The addition of INET’s highly regarded market data, analysis tools and data feed solutions extends IRESS’ integrated trading and portfolio services, offering clients a broader and deeper range of complementary solutions. This is further enhanced with experienced support from an expanded on the ground team.”
