Reggio Emilia, May 14, 2026 – Today, CO.GE.S.I. Scrl and EGEA Acque S.p.A., a company controlled by the Iren Group, signed a preliminary agreement for CO.GE.S.I. Scrl to take over the management of the integrated water service in Cuneo ATO 4.
The transaction completes a process launched in compliance with the resolutions of the Area Authority, aimed at entrusting the management of integrated water services in the Cuneo area to a single public operator.
Completion of the takeover is expected in the second half of 2026, in accordance with the agreements signed today.
Also today, CO.GE.S.I. Scrl paid Euro 68.3 million as the residual value of the assets as at 2024. Additional payment tranches are expected in the next months, in order to reflect adjustments to the residual value of the assets as of the date.
The annual EBITDA of EGEA Acque related to the integrated water service subject to the takeover amounts to approximately Euro 6 million.
