K&S – Achieved Record-High Blasting Volume

Wednesday, 8 November 2017: IRC Limited (“IRC” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”; Stock Code 1029) is pleased to announce that the mining contractor of K&S has achieved a record-high blasting volume with the mining volume reaching close to full designed capacity, paving the way for the ramping up of the production at K&S.

K&S’ ramping up programme continues to make good progress. In October, the mining fleet at K&S increased the workload to its full capacity and achieved a record-high blasting volume – a total of 1.2 million cubic metres of rock mass was blasted, representing an increase of 51% over the amount of rock blasted in September. The mining works are now fully up to speed to match with the ramping up program of K&S and the mined volume is also getting close to full designed capacity, with about 692,000 tonnes of ore mined in October.

Commenting on the news above, Yury Makarov, Chief Executive Officer of IRC said:

“I am glad to report that the mining contractor has successfully ramped up its mining works. With more stockpiles available ahead of the winter, K&S is well-positioned to ramp up its production and operate in a more efficient manner.”
