IP Group plc - Portfolio company Actual Experience completes £17.5m placing

IP Group plc (LSE: IPO) ("IP Group" or "the Group"), the developer of intellectual property-based businesses, is pleased to note that portfolio company Actual Experience plc ("Actual Experience" or "the Company"), has raised a total of £17.5 million (before expenses) by means of a conditional placing ("Placing").

Actual Experience, which was founded in 2009 to commercialise research originally undertaken at Queen Mary University of London, is an analytics-as-a-service company with a primary focus on analysing and evaluating the impact of digital supply chain behaviour on perceived human experience. The Company's goal is to ensure a consistent digital experience for digital products and services by significantly reducing the time it takes to pinpoint digital experience issues.

IP Group committed a total of £1.46m to the Placing and, following completion, will hold a total of 9,928,384 shares in Actual Experience, or 22.25% of the equity. The Placing is conditional upon Shareholder approval at the General Meeting, scheduled for 20 March 2017.
