IP Group plc - Retirement of Non-executive Director

IP Group plc (LSE: IPO) ("IP Group" or "the Group" or "the Company"), a leading developer of intellectual property-based businesses, announces that Doug Liversidge, CBE, will retire from his position as a non-executive director of the Company at the end of the year.

Mr Liversidge has served on the Board in a non-executive capacity since March 2014 following IP Group's acquisition of Fusion IP plc, where he was Chairman. He became Senior Independent Director of IP Group in March 2015.

Professor David Begg, who was appointed as a non-executive director in October 2017, will become Senior Independent Director with effect from 1 January 2018.

Mike Humphrey, Non-executive Chairman, said: "I would like to thank Doug both for his contribution to the Group and his wise counsel. He has played an important role in aiding the successful integration of Fusion IP and the Group's growth since that time and we wish him all the very best in his retirement."
