Appointment of new Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer

Sunbird Energy Ltd ( ASX: SNY ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Sophie Raven to the role of Company Secretary effective from 18 May 2012, following the resignation of Mr Jerry Monzu. Ms Raven has practised corporate and commercial law in Western Australia and overseas for 20 years both at law firms and as in-house legal counsel, and currently acts as non-executive director of various offshore investment funds and is Company Secretary to a number of ASX-listed companies, including Transerv Energy Limited and Wildhorse Energy Limited.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Suzana Makuljevic BBus, IPAA to the role of Chief Financial Officer, effective from 18 May 2012.

Ms Makuljevic has more than 20 years of experience in accounting across a wide range of industries – manufacturing, certification, assaying, oil and gas upstream and downstream services, mining and resources. For the last seven years Ms Makuljevic has been a principal of Korak Verus Group, a public accounting practice. During that time her work was focused primarily on ASX/TSX/AIM listed mining and resource companies. Some of the companies that Ms Makuljevic has worked for in senior accounting management roles prior to joining Sunbird Energy Ltd, include Gearhart Australia Ltd, SGS Australia Ltd, Gallery Gold Ltd, Mirabela Nickel Ltd, Energy Ventures Ltd, African Energy Resources Ltd, Quest Petroleum Ltd and Wildhorse Energy Ltd. Ms Makuljevic is currently engaged as a financial controller with Exco Resources Ltd.
