Intrum Justitia's Capital Markets Day

Intrum Justitia is today hosting a Capital Markets Day in London

During this day a strategic and financial update of the Group across its European operations will be given, together with a macro overview of the Credit Management Services (CMS) market, and include in-depth presentations of the status of the UK operations and on the acquisitions in France in late 2008. A close look will be taken at the Purchased Debt market and Intrum Justitia's strategy for Purchased Debt operations in the present economic cycle.

Long term financial objectives will be reiterated and the April-May trends will be commented on briefly along the following main highlights.

  • The financial development in April-May is broadly in line with earlier trends.
  • o Service line Purchased Debt is performing well; gross collection exceeds actual forecasts and return on investments exceeds the financial target of 15 percent annually.
  • o The CMS business is affected by legal outlays. The trend with y-o-y declining margin in Q1 2009 is continuing in April/May.
  • UK and Ireland: A consultation period has been announced in Ireland, potentially affecting 30 percent of staff. Divestment of Stirling Park was completed on June 10. The English operations are subject to a consultation period since the end of May.

The Capital Markets Day takes place at the City Presentation Centre, 4 Chiswell Street Finsbury, between 13:00 and 16:00 UK time.
