Appointment of a Non-Executive Director
Royal Mail plc (the Company) is pleased to announce that Jourik Hooghe has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, to take effect from 1 June 2022. Jourik will also become a member of the Company's Nomination and Audit and Risk Committees from this date.
Jourik is currently Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer of Wizz Air Holdings Plc (Wizz Air). He has extensive financial, accounting, operations and strategy experience in consumer goods and retail businesses. Prior to Wizz Air, Jourik held various finance roles at Procter & Gamble, including coverage across Europe, India, China, Middle East and Africa. He also spent time at Adecco Group, where he transformed the finance and accounting function into a data and technology driven organisation.
Jourik's appointment is a further step in refreshing and strengthening the Board, in particular bringing relevant international and finance experience.
