Intelligent Ultrasound Group plc

("Intelligent Ultrasound" or the "Company" or the "Group")

Ministerial visit to Intelligent Ultrasound Head Office

Intelligent Ultrasound Group plc (AIM: MED) announces that the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP and the Secretary of State for Wales, The Rt Hon Simon Hart MP, visited the Group's head office to experience first hand the advances that the Group's Clinical Artificial Intelligence Division has made with its real-time AI image guidance software, AnatomyGuide.

AnatomyGuide aims to simplify ultrasound-guided needling by providing the user with real-time AI-based needle guidance software for a range of medical procedures. The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP watched a volunteer being scanned and was then scanned himself.

Both MPs were also shown the Group's world leading BodyWorks emergency medicine simulator and successfully scanned a number of simulated patients with both heart and liver conditions.

Stuart Gall, Group CEO, commented: "We were delighted to welcome both the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and the Secretary of State for Wales to our office in Cardiff. We have benefitted from private investment and also public support from both regional funding, as well as Welsh Government and Innovate UK backed R&D grants and we welcomed the opportunity to demonstrate the results of this investment to both Mr Gove and Mr Hart. Following a strong 2019 and our first major AI licensing agreement, we are now progressing commercial discussions for our second AI software product. This is an exciting time for the Group."
