Instabank ASA sells non-performing loans in Norway
Instabank has entered into an agreement to sell a significant part of the bank’s non-performing unsecured loans (NPL) in Norway, representing a gross booked value of approximately 167 MNOK. As a result of the transaction, Instabank’s total NPL ratio will drop from 11.8 % to 9.6 % based on the situation at the end of Q1-2024. The transaction includes the oldest part of Instabank’s non-performing loans in Norway, and after the transaction, the remaining NPL portfolio in Norway will be less than one year old.
The transaction improves capital ratios, significantly reduces NPL exposure, and confirms the valuation of impaired loans, as it is operating profit positive.
The transaction will be closed before the end of Q2-2024.
