Elop appoints new executives at group level

Elop AS announces appointment of two new members of the executive team at group level. Effective immediately, Erik Leung is appointed chief product officer (CPO) and Imran Tamboli chief technology officer (CTO).

“The appointment is a further step into our strategy of fast-tracking Elop’s software and AI business plan,” says Øivind Horpestad, Executive Chairman and CEO of Elop. “We are acting on the synergies from the strategic acquisition of Simplifai giving us additional experience and expertise within global commercialization of scalable and intelligent software solutions.”

Leung will lead the company’s digital product strategy in concert with Tamboli managing the technology and product development agenda.

Prior to Elop and the continued role as chief operating officer (COO) in Simplifai, Leung was product manager and Head of Cognitive and AI Solutions at EVRY Financial Services

“Imran and I have been working together for many years to develop successful products, and we look forward to use our mojo once again in Elop. There are many synergies between Elop and Simplifai that we would draw upon in the development of Elop’s technologies.” says Leung.

Tamboli has extensive experience in building and leading global software development organisations, prior to Simplifai as the Head of Development at EVRY Financial Services.
