PLACEMENT OF INFRATIL SHARES

Infratil has been informed by its manager H.R.L. Morrison & Co that overnight it has placed 10 million Infratil shares with institutional and high net worth investors further diversifying Infratil's shareholder base. The vendors of these shares were H.R.L. Morrison & Co (5 million shares), Trusts/entities associated with the Morrison family (4 million shares) and Lib Petagna (1 million shares) each of whom remain significant investors in Infratil.
