The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Infineon Follow-on Offering: Exercise of Over-allotment Option Munich, Germany – July 19, 2001 – In the evening of July 18th 2001, Goldman Sachs & Co. oHG, on behalf of the Underwriters, has notified Infineon Technologies AG that it has exercised in full the over-allotment option granted in connection with the Company’s follow-on offering of 52,174,000 shares priced last week. An additional 7,826,000 new shares will be issued by Infineon, representing a total volume of Euro 195.7 million.
