   23 WpHG that on February 07, 2008 its voting rights in Infineon
   Technologies AG, Neubiberg, Germany, have exceeded the thresholds of 3% and
   5% and now amount to 5.25% (corresponding to 39347562 voting rights).

2. On February 15, 2008, Merrill Lynch International, London, United
   Kingdom, has further informed us according to section 21 sub-section 1 WpHG
   that on February 07, 2008 the voting rights of ML UK Capital Holdings,
   London, United Kingdom, in Infineon Technologies AG, Neubiberg, Germany,
   have exceeded the thresholds of 3% and 5% and now amount to 5.25%
   (corresponding to 39347562 voting rights). All of these voting rights were
   attributed to ML UK Capital Holdings in accordance with section 22
   sub-section 1 sentence 1 no. 1 WpHG. The chain of controlled undertakings

   that on February 07, 2008 the voting rights of Merrill Lynch Holdings
   Limited, London, United Kingdom, in Infineon Technologies AG, Neubiberg,
   Germany, have exceeded the thresholds of 3% and 5% and now amount to 5.25%
   (corresponding to 39347562 voting rights). All of these voting rights were
   attributed to Merrill Lynch Holdings Limited in accordance with section 22
   sub-section 1 sentence 1 no. 1 WpHG. The chain of controlled undertakings

   which is controlled by ML UK Capital Holdings, which is controlled by
