given notice of the following:

Notification pursuant to Sec. 21 (1), 22 WpHG

Templeton Funds, Inc., 500 E. Broward Blvd., Suite 2100, Fort Lauderdale,
Florida, FL 33394-3091, United States, hereby gives notice pursuant to
Section 21(1) that its share of the total voting rights in Infineon
Technologies AG, Am Campeon 1-12, Neubiberg, Federal Republic ofGermany,
has reached the threshold of 3%. This was not caused by the acquisition of
shares but to the recent change in the outstanding shares of Infineon
Technnologies AG. Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that the
correct current outstanding share figure for your Company is 749,381,715,
and as total voting shares held by Templeton Funds, Inc., amounts to
22,503,490, the percentage held is at 3.00%.

We wish to apologize for this delayed filing, which was caused by incorrect
outstanding share data. Our external vendor provided outstanding shares to
us as 754,750,3 59, which we now understand is actually the amount of
authorized shares. As we were monitoring our holdings using this
outstanding shares figure our total percentage held was 2.98%.
