On November 1, 2007 Fidelity has notified us of the following:

'As a result of an internal merger reorganisation effective from 1st
October 2007, FMR LLC. (a Delaware limited liability company with its
principal place of business in Boston, USA) became the successor entity to
FMR Corp. and has assumed all its rights and obligations.

We therefore notify that on 1st October 2007 FMR LLC. held 3.49 % of the
voting rights (voting rights arising of 26,158,004 shares in Infineon
Technologies AG) and therefore exceeded the threshold of 3 %. All of the
voting rights of FMR LLC. are attributed to it pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1.
sent. 1 no. 6 and sent. 2 of the German Securities Trade Act.'
