Brief about Indian Overseas Bank (IOB):
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) was founded on February 10, 1937, by Shri. M.Ct.M. Chidambaram Chettyar, a pioneer in various fields. In 1969, IOB was one of the 14 major banks nationalized by the Indian Government.
At present, IOB has Strong Domestic presence of 3438 Branches with around 3622 ATMs and also provides services across India in four countries: Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Sri Lanka with a Trust of more than 41 million active customers in Bank’s fold.
For last the quarter ended September 30, 2025, the Operating Profit of the Bank was ₹2,400 crores and the Net profit was ₹1,226 crores.
