In terms of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, we have to inform you that in exercise of powers conferred by the proviso to clause (a) of sub section (3) of section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970, the Central Government vide Notification No. eF.No. 4/1/2021-B0.1 dated 26.08.2021 appointed Shri S. L. Jain, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda as Managing Director & Chief Executive Director (MD & CEO) of Indian Bank for a period of three years with effect from the date of assumption of office, on or after 01.09.2021, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Accordingly, Shri S. L. Jain has assumed the office of MD & CEO of the Bank on 01.09.2021.

Brief Profile of Shri S. L. Jain, Managing Director & CEO
Shri S. L. Jain assumed the office of Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of the Bank on 01.09.2021.
He is Post Graduate in Commerce with Professional Qualification of Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and CAIIB. He has vast experience of more than 28 years in banking industry.
Prior to joining Indian Bank as MD & CEO, he was Executive Director of Bank of Baroda from 20.09.2018 to 31.08.2021. During his stint with Bank of Baroda, the allocated area of his responsibilities includes Corporate Banking, International Banking, Stress Asset Management, Human Resource, Finance & Accounts, Risk Management, Inspection, Compliance etc.
He started his career in banking by joining erstwhile Allahabad Bank in 1993 in Middle Management Grade/Scale-II and rose to the rank of General Manager. He has held the position of Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer, General Manager-IT and Field General Manger, Mumbai in erstwhile Allahabad Bank. During his stint in erstwhile Allahabad Bank, he worked in various capacities in Branches, Zonal Office, Field General Manager Office, Staff College and Head Office.
He had also worked in various industries for about six years before starting his career with erstwhile Allahabad Bank in 1993.
